Round # 2

I just sent off the last of my application. I am now applying to City Year... which honestly I just don't want as bad. Is it wrong for me to apply to it? I don't want to just give up... but I feel like doing anything other than TFA is kind of like giving up... only I can't control it.

I am going to go look for more things to apply for... do you have suggestions?

ko bye

I heard that one of City Year's biggest things is committment. If you're not committed or want something that you wouldn't be passionate about, then why go through the process? I know that City Year is a great organization just like TFA, but both have the same mission: solving societies problems by empowering the children they serve.

Who is this? It isn't that I wouldn't be committed... I am a committing crazy... but if you lost something you loved - wouldn't you be a little bummed about your second choice?

Not if your second choice is also for a good cause. In your blog, you state that you don't want it as bad. There are many times when people don't get their first choice. TFA is a fantastic organization. I feel that City Year is as well. For someone that has friends that have done City Year, it transforms you. It's your choice what you want to do, but there are some great alternatives to TFA.

My question for you is why do you want to serve?

If you are willing to tell me who you are so that we may have a justified intimate conversation, then I will answer your question. Anyone who knows me, knows my motivation. passion, love. Please do not challenge me like this after I was so bold and honest on my blog. Thanks.
